Everything Happens For A Reason

Sometimes people are meant to come into our lives. I believe that is the case for this beautiful couple.  I asked Alyssa and David when they knew their partner was the one, and they responded by telling me the story of being in Microbiology class together at Baker College.  They both sat in the back of the room.  Alyssa was scared to talk to him, and then they were put in a group together.  Alyssa procrastinated on getting her PowerPoint done and he secretly did it for her.  After approaching him about his help with her PowerPoint, they began to tease each other about it.  It was then that the spark lit and Alyssa knew he was the one.  I am a believer of everything happens for a reason. The universe works in mysterious ways.  

Old Mission Point Lighthouse

This Old Mission Point Lighthouse Park engagement in Traverse City was incredibly beautiful. Alyssa, David, and I were hoping to do a little rock hunting at Old Mission Point, but we were immediately distracted by how high the water was. There was little to no beach, which is pretty unusual.  That didn’t stop us from enjoying the park.  Alyssa and David brought along their dog, Harley.  He was such a good boy and so well behaved.  We explored a bit along the trails in the woods.  It was so peaceful and quiet.  

Along the way, we managed to find an amazing spot with some sandy beach.  Just in time for a beautiful,  never disappointing Michigan sunset.  Harley loved playing and jumping in the water.  He was in dog heaven!  As the sun was setting, I asked Alyssa and David to write a little letter to each other expressing how much love they feel for the other and something that they are excited about being married.  They did not hesitate one minute to start writing.  There is no doubt that Alyssa and David are excited to take this next big adventure together.
