Lakeside Wedding on Shupac Lake
While John and Sarah live in Bozeman, MT, they planned a small, unconventional wedding ceremony and celebration on the sandy beach outside of John’s family cabin on Lake Shupac. Shupac Lake is a beautiful, peaceful lake in Crawford County, near Lovells, Michigan. The lake is 100 acres in size and known for great Trout and Bass fishing with its deepest point being approximately 97 feet deep.
It was a perfect, warm summer day here in Northern Michigan. Sarah’s dad played his acoustic guitar as she and John walk from opposite sides of the cabin. They met together on the lakeshore where John’s cousin joined them as husband and wife. They each read handwritten vows to one another surrounded by loved ones.
The family cabin is surrounded by nature’s natural beauty. I snuck John and Sarah away for a little time to themselves and soak each other in as I took pictures. We returned to a delicious dinner catered by The Iron Pig Smokehouse of Gaylord, MI. The night commenced in celebration. Dancing well into the night under the waxing gibbous moon.
