Foresty Engagement
Hartwick Pines State Park in Grayling, Michigan is a special place with nearly 10,000 acres of amazingly beautiful forestry and one of the largest parks in the state of Michigan. There is something magical about Hartwick Pines. The sights and sounds of nature can have almost a calming effect on the mind, body, and soul.
Corinne and Dalton met me at The Pines for their engagement session. They are both so down to earth, I loved hanging out with them. We explored the old-growth forest area, taking in all its beauty & talking about what makes their hearts happy. Being up north in nature is one of the things that bring them joy.
We listened to the birds singing to one another. We even heard an owl! I have to be honest, at first, I thought it was a dog barking off in the distance. But then we stood, silently listening. Yep! It was an owl! It was really awesome to hear. Dalton, being an avid hunter and outdoorsman, mentioned that owls make different sounds other than a hoot, which I never knew.
The Pines Are Awesome!
There are so many awesome features of Hartwick Pines. Besides being surrounded by acres of the magical forest of old-growth pines to roam, there is a logging museum that depicts the state’s 19th-century logging era. Hartwick Pines is a great place to visit all year round with snowshoeing, hiking, picnicking, and camping.
